Episode I - You Really Want to Hear This?

I'm not sure if I am an introvert or pathologically dull or just that I don't really have anything to say, but this blog was opened back when Jesus was a baby and not a single post has appeared since. Once in a while I remember that I have a blog, use the password reset button, upload a new profile pic and maybe select a new and sleek theme. Writing a post however is a little more difficult. You see there's a problem of what I like to call 'original thought'. I have many opinions. Really, probably dozens. Some are well thought out and elegantly expressible nuggets of informed and educated reasoning and some are plain daft bollocks that makes me laugh when I am alone.

Crusty Old Bastard

The issue is that surely someone has dreamt up and said anything I can say before, somewhere on the interwebnetispehere there's a another pleb like me wondering what seagull meat tastes like and if it would benefit from a light mustard sauce. So what's the point? In an age where so many people can digest the output from so many other people at the swipe of a thumb hasn't everything that's worth saying been said already?
mmmh.....maybe it has.

And then the light came on. That epipheny came home and it hit me. So what? Maybe it has been said before, but not by me and not for me. The trick here is not to write it for anyone out there but rather to record the mental fuzz because it's nice writing it. The clouds parted.... (my auto correct initially changed that to 'clowns parted' which upon reread reflection is probably more accurate) So it's the journey not the destination that counts. Yes, I very well maybe becoming one of those terribly insecure, middle aged, granola chewing idiots that will pay some chump to listen to them whining on about how hard life is whilst reclining on a comfy leather sofa but, so be it. At least I'm not paying for this.

So what to talk about? If I can keep this up there will be many highlights in the coming posts ranging from 'middle aged man in the modern world' to 'the impact of technology development in corporate structure' passing by Star Wars Stuff and stopping off at Cool Shit I Found on the Web. If, dear reader, you can abide with me I might even have something interesting to say based upon a life-so-far of loving and laughing with many people, in many countries, in many companies.
But, not much will probably be original ;)

PS. I can spell IF correctly but methinks this editor is swapping it. Fi however is a nice word.
